Mark Greenberg

CEO, EPIX and media entrepreneur
Prior to leaving EPIX, Greenberg had logged over 25 successful years of cable industry experience, including Showtime and Home Box Office. Greenberg was Managing Director of MSGCI, a management and consulting company. Some of his clients included Blockbuster, Participant Media, and Lionsgate. He joined Showtime after seven plus years at Home Box Office in sales and marketing positions. When he left, he was Director of Direct Marketing. Greenberg then joined Showtime, where he worked for 17 years. He was Executive Vice President for Showtime Networks Inc. (SNI), where he was responsible for business planning and Development Digital Media. He also headed the operations of Showtime’s Sales and Marketing. He also created and launched Showtime’s On Demand and HDTV. His most profitable enterprise was Showtime PPV with Mike Tyson, Evander Holyfield and Lennox Lewis where he produced 4 of the 5 biggest pay-for-view events in cable history. All of this experience made him the obvious choice for the launching of EPIX.
Greenberg and his family have a home in Nantucket, where he was one of the original board members for the Nantucket Film Festival. He is still a member of its board. He is also on the Board of the Reisenbach Foundation, whose mission is to improve the quality of life and safety of New Yorkers. Greenberg’s wife, Tami, has worked for MTV for 10 years as Vice President of Legal and Business Affairs. They have two sons and a daughter. They live in Westchester County. Greenberg holds a B.A. from Providence College and a M.B.A. from Columbia University.
